Budget (including currency): 300-450€

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: games like Minecraft, Roblox, Fortnite etc. and Homework

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): no peripherals, new system, can probably do with no case(I'll get a used one or smth), 1080p on 60 fps with "ok" settings would be enough.

Would a PC be doable like that?

Maybe Amazon has some existing systems that would be good enough.

Can build one aswell, just got kind of out of touch regarding PC building lately since it's a phase for me mostly. I only check the newest stuff when I need one for myself.

I doubt you can get anything decent for 450€ but maybe you guys have more and better ideas.

Thanks a lot!!

If it's for college, have you considered a labtop? Not as fun or upgradable, but being able to bring it for school may be a big plus?

mITX is awesome! I regret nothing (apart from when picking parts or have to do maintainance *cough*cough*)

Not college but a colleague (OP had a typo) ie a person they work with

Also OP the budget is so low I would honestly look at pre-builds or like @DeerDK said a laptop cause they would be your best bet to get the most out of that low of a budget imo

If you disagree with anything I've said tell my why with logic not feeling

If you wanna correct smb do so with logic not anecdotes and feelings

with that low budget go with the used market as youll find much better deals and yes the low end should be very easy to get if not lower with a used 5600(x) and rx 570/580 8gb which will fulfil all of those requirements and still be quite abit above the bare minimum

Shoot, sorry, I completely misread that. My bad.

On the plusside, it's some rather light load games. My son plays minecraft on a friggin Ipad.

Could we slap something together based on the 8700g?

https://www.mindfactory.de/search_result.php?search_query=8700g

250 € for the APU and then 200€ for the rest of the pc, or is that too scraped?

Yeah don't go new for this price, basically.

I mean, what is the cheapest 'ok' PC? You can make something that will be basically terrible, but the cheapest realistically usable PC might look like this.

I picked a single retailer, if interested in going to multiple it'll probably be possible to go lower, but we're talking, 600 for a fairly decent system, this is entry level in my opinion.

EDIT: See the next retailer would be Alza, that has a cheaper 3060, but then you're losing out on the PSU, you can mix and match and maybe get to the 450 budget, but yeah.

Hardly

Not imposible but highly unlikely imo

If anything maybe possible with a 5700G and am4 based components but it would be as good obviously

Yeah ok I've technically done it, but this isn't really factoring in the full cost because is this driving to 3 retailers + Amazon prime for example?

The case is literally, the cheapest thing at the cheapest store, a RX 6600 will probably get you by, would prefer a 3060 though as that will last for some time to come I think, just the added VRAM... Then again this is a very tight budget.

Got something very similar to this. Chose a tad different motherboard bcs it had compatibility issues. Gotta update the bios I think. Found pretty much the same one without that.

Ye I'll see what the colleague will do. Bro got some trash pc fro 200 on Amazon and now it broke lmao. It's been a day. I told him to return it but rest is up to him. Thanks for the ideas tho. Topic pretty much over. Solved all my questions. Thanks a bunch everyone
