My Galaxy S10e is starting to show its age for me. 馃槙

The battery is dying, the screen has small scratches, and it's just getting slow.

I want a newer phone, but I am unsure of where to start.

I want one that has similar or smaller dimensions to the S10e, a longer battery life, and a good screen. A headphone jack would be nice, but doesn't matter.

Well, "similar or smaller" will already put a quite a dent to your choices - Xperia 10 VI comes to mind but it is a little bit "taller" - pretty much one of the exemptions on the market that still sports headphone jack and sd card slot:

Let's see what others will find as I am to eyeing small phone right now 馃槃 (bought Pixel 9a but returned it - poor battery life and overheating galore...)

used xperia 5 iv or up for something similarly flagship as the 10s are midranger phones and tbh not really worth buying unless you are buying new

otherwise there arent any properly small phones these days and you should be able to remedy the thing slowing down by just putting a custom rom on the thing though if you game and its getting slow there i have my doubts thatd be fixable even with root/custom kernel so yeah pretty much have to buy a new phone

Similar or smaller is going to be difficult, but you can get some very nice phones that are only a bit larger.

The easiest path would be to a Galaxy S25. It's barely larger than the S10e, much faster, should last longer on battery, and of course has display improvements.

If it were my money I'd seriously consider a Pixel 9a or, if you can get it on sale, the regular Pixel 9. Phenomenal camera performance (even on the 9a) on top of everything else. I also admit I prefer "clean" Android over Samsung's One UI. It's slightly taller, but not what I'd call huge.
