Budget: ~1000-1200€ (monitor excluded)

Country: Italy

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Surely League of Legends, Rocket League, Minecraft (modded), TM2020, Warzone, Throne and Liberty and some future releases like Ace Combat 8 😄; Maybe newer games too, but I can't say as long as I haven't tried them ^^'

Hi! It's my first time trying to build a PC, and I've spent quite a lot of time on guides, tier lists and reviews trying to learn how to pick the best parts given my budget... but I think I'm still, by far, not knowledgeable enough to do so xD

What do you think about it? Is it solid or should I change something to make it less expensive (without compromising performance)/better without going too out of budget? Any tip is appreciated ^^
Thanks in advance ❤️

How does this sound?:

No problems with parts you chose, RAM maybe bit more expensive than you can find.

M.2 is also okay and Motherboard and CPU cooler.

Check out the filter selection, there should be similar price RAM that's not white.

The M.2 you had wasn't bad if you want to save some €.

PSU was good too, the one I picked is just modular.

Oh, I didn't notice the color, whoops ^^'
Yeah, I think I'm going with the black RAM and the old SSD then. Keeping the modular PSU tho, it sounds nice 😄.Thanks for the clarifications!

Just one! Since I'd like to have Wi-Fi on it, do you think I should keep the MSI B650 or would the B650 Eagle with a Wi-Fi card be the best choice?

A board with built in WiFi is the best way to go.

All depends what you're willing to sacrifice.

If you cut down in lots of areas, can stretch to a 9070, which for FSR 4, that's probably worth it, it's a 15-20% GPU improvement over a 7800XT, which is otherwise the right choice for this budget.

What is lost here, after market CPU cooler, don't need it, 7600 performs basically the same as a 7600X and 9600X so may as well (includes a cooler). motherboard, cheapest option, RAM basically the same just slightly cheaper, SSD, can save plenty there, this is a PCIe 3.0 NVME SSD, it doesn't have a DRAM cache, but it'll be fine, and later on can be a storage drive if necessary. Case is just a cheap box, but has 2 fans looks fine enough to me, PSU there were some reliable 450W options but 550W should be a better fit, would hate to have the system powering itself off because of a GPU spike, rest of the system would probably run under 200W.

Thanks! Apart from the motherboard (I'll still go for the B650 Eagle since I'd like Wi-Fi on it, but I did forget to mention it in the post - so thanks anyway :D) it looks solid, but I have a few questions ^^

Searching around I accidentally found a 9070 XT for about 30€ more than the 9070, should I take that one or does it cause issues/increase price way too much?

Also, I've found a 7500F for just 130€ which, combined with a separate cooler, would save me ~40€; would it be worth it or should I still go for the 7600?

With podkall's suggestions I got around ~1150€ (https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/mwksxg), while with the 9700xt and 7500F (https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/FBrXWc) it would be >100€ more expensive; Do you think it would be worth the increase, overall?

I don't like the Gigabyte motherboard, it's way too cheap.

7500F has same cores and similar Ghz clock speed, no iGPU.

Solid front case, less airflow than mesh.

Motherboard cheap VRMs, no cooling on them.

PCIe 3.0 NVME drive, maybe fast, but less durable and comparatively slower. Endurance 100TBW. And it's only 1TB.

Barebones 550W PSU, that will leave you hanging on the edge where any upgrade beyond 8 core CPU would recommend getting better PSU. (that would apply to motherboard too)

It's just lot of sacrifice for better GPU.

So, would you think something like this: https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/m6bDTM would be a good reason to go over budget by ~100€? The only problem left would be the SSD, but it's not too big of a hassle since I already have a 2TB external HDD (which I'm using on my laptop right now, since its original one died a while ago ^^'), so I could keep using it for a while and upgrade the SSD later.

Also, thanks again a lot, especially since the thread is getting a little longer than I initially thought  ^^'

It is a bit much, but I think I still can without any problem ^^' (especially since it looks like a nice deal and might save me money down the line, being more future-proof) - I guess I'll go out a little less and save money that way 😛

9070XT vs 9070 for 30? Yes definitely.

if you can get a 7500F + aftermarket cooler for less than a 7600, that would be the way I would go too, they all perform the same, the difference up to a 9600X is marginal.

So yes 100% worth the increase 🙂

Hazards, nothing dangerous, firstly the PSU is the item to be the most cautious about, then the motherboard.

A reputable brand PSU with more than enough watts under full load is job 1, Corsair, Cooler Master, Seasonic, there are a few more brands not off the top of my head, but if you share it here people will give you an indication.

Motherboard, is connecting everything, including yourself to the system (mouse, keyboard, audio, storage). So I start at the minimum viable, then see what features I miss, and try not to invest too heavily. In previous years, the motherboard VRM was a concern for higher power CPUs, at ~65W, pretty much anything is ok on AM5.

Then personally I’d say the case, does it allow enough air flow? Next the GPU, how well does it cool at a given sound level?

Then everything else, do you have enough ram capacity (16GB possibly, 32GB almost definitely)? Do you have enough storage? Am I happy with the performance of the GPU / CPU based on the investment? Then it becomes cosmetic, look of the case, ram, cpu cooler, RGB, GPU shroud even (though I’d prioritize cooling performance first.

it looks great, but you could find a cheaper kit of RAM with the same specs and modular power supply might be nice and that case only comes with one fan so get some more fans or get a case from Okinos  I don’t know if they sell to Italy, but they do make good value cases.

Thanks for the tips! I've looked for the Okinos cases and, unfortunately, I only found a few ~200€ Okinos cases on amazon, without any trace of the cheaper ones xD But I did get some good recommendations about better cases here, so it's not a problem 😄
