Game server refusing to work and tell me why

Have you tried adding your servers to your Steam game server favorites list? Just add them using your WanIP:PORT. Since both games are using steam as it's server query they should at least show on there. If they don't show up there then they won't show anywhere. Using that list will be a lot faster for testing as those game server websites don't update often enough. As for the steam server list: open Steam, click view, click game servers. You may even need to make sure your servers are configured correctly and that in your config you need to set your server IP to your WanIP.

This is gonna be a dumb question cuz I'm assuming you've at least gotten that far but have you connected to the server yourself? Honestly there's really only two things that could be wrong here is that your server itself isn't configured properly or your ISP just isn't going to allow it. Your ports are forwarded properly so there isn't an issue there, I would assume your firewall is setup correctly as well, so the only two things left are your server configs or your ISP.

I will use this from now on!

i've left the bitTorrent there thinking that shouldn't be a problem,

i made these changes as you can see in the photo but i still cant seem to see the KF2 server,

could it be the tools im testing with? rn i am using https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and https://www.gametracker.com/search/kf2/

This worked, thank you so much!!!

I cannot for the life of me figure out why my kf2 server and others cannot be accessed from others
I have opened ports on my computer with kaspersky in "packet rules" and trusted the server program

image.png.94fa8dd6124958532e45f3cce61157bc.png

I have opened them in my router (asus RT-AX56U)

image.png.d424fd4d8a389ec73af87061172c2bb6.png

and i even checked my isp (which i have made sure im not on CGNat and i have a static ip) that i have no blocked ports on their side of things.

the only thing i have left to lead on is that when i called asus tech support, the guy on there just told me that my router doesnt support game servers (which i dont really get how thats any special thing that need specific hw support) and the thing that told me to not believe him is that he locks in on trying to sell me specifically one of the high-end ROG routers without answering my questions on how it works or what to look out for in other routers for "game server support"?

I am at a loss, Please help!

Did a little digging, so here's what I would do:

  • Delete all port forwards you have related to your servers
  • Create one for Steam Query port 27015 on UDP and TCP
  • Create one for TF2 on 27016 UDP (make sure you set the port in the server config to 27016)
  • Create one for KF2 on 7777 and 123 UDP
  • double and triple check your firewall to make sure things aren't getting doubled up

The rest of the ports you have are all extra stuff that you probably don't even need open. If you think you need them open then you can do so as a separate line. To be frank I run all my servers on unRaid with their own dedicated dockers or through AMP so I don't typically have to think too much about this stuff. I still have to set up the ports but only for the game server port itself (i.e. 27016 and 7777), never the extra stuff. Give that a try and see.

Most ISPs provide a modem/router combo. If this is the case for you, then you have double NAT if the combo was not out in to bridge mode.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Picture doesn’t really tell me. Model numbers would give us more information.
