My pc wont turn on, no bios or anything. after about 10 seconds the cpu debug-light on the mobo comes on. I want top test the cpu in my brothers mobo, but i dont want to break his. The motherboard is a MSi Tomahawk b350. I tried removing all ram except one, but the same issue. CPu doesnt hav igpu.

Edit: Today i tried plugging in the psu again (i used the psu in another pc that ran fine) Immedietly when i turned on the switch it made a pop sound, pretty loud. Maybe a capactor blew up? idk, but im replacing the mobo and psu.

A faulty CPU would not likely be able to damage a motherboard.

is this a recently built PC, or was it working yesterday and broken today?

I recommend clearing the CMOS.

Connect these two pins together with a screwdriver, or other small piece of metal, for more than 10 seconds

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Did you change anything in the PC or move it around, before it stopped working?

CPUs that die after a year of working fine are very rare.

yes i did plug it out and move it like 1 meter because i was tidying up in the cables. i also got a tiny shock from touching the psu. but my blanket is very "zappy" and i grounded myself on the psu so i didnt react.

Boot problems can sometimes be caused by the cooler mount changing.

If you re-plugged all your USB devices, there's also a possibility of problems here.

Did you only change the cables externally, or inside the case too?

Nothing on the inside, everything on the outside was plugged out like normal. I move between my parents with the pc every two weeks and i have had no problems. This time i didnt move though, but ill try a new motherboard.
