Recently out of curiosity I grabbed a generic USB-C to 3.5mm adapter off of Temu and while comparing it with my genuine Samsung one, I noticed something very strange - when I plug in the Temu adapter and my Edifier W800 BT Plus headphones, I get a prompt asking me to select either Bixby or Google to complete an action (selecting Bixby activates the assistant and is waiting for me to say something), however, when I connect the Samsung one, this does not happen.

Also, when connecting the Samsung one, I get a notification that a device is connected and I can set if the device or phone is controlling it, while connecting the Temu one, nothing actually happens until I connect the headphones (no notification like the Samsung one).

Anyone has any info if this behavior is normal? Like, is this just a different type of adapter, or should I be concerned about this being a malicious cable?

The cable I got: https://www.temu.com/goods.html?_bg_fs=1&goods_id=601099731249770

Using a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, running Android 15 of April 2025 security patch and April 2025 Google Play System patch (if important).
