Secure Erased my M.2 SSD and it no longer shows up in bios or when installing windows with media installation drive

Need help with my NVME SSD. its a Patriot Viper Lite SSD and I secure erased it on my ASUS TUF B650 PLUS WIFI and everything was normal as I have done this before with other SSD's. But now it doesn't show up in bios or when trying to install windows using the media installation tool. I tried doing the command prompt and listing disk but it still doesn't show up. Was wondering if there was another way to fix this or if I am just out of luck? Thanks in advance!

You can try to clear the CMOS memory (or reset BIOS to default settings) to make sure old settings are not messing with detection.

Then if the SSD is not recognized at the BIOS level, you may be out of luck.

An alternative is to try your SSD in another computer or with a USB enclosure.

Good luck !

All signs are pointing to a dead SSD unfortunately.

One positive point is that you didn't lose data since your goal was to secure erase in the first place.

You may be able to get it repaired at some specialized repair shops but it is normally cheaper to buy a new one (I know this is a sad fact of capitalism).

Have a nice day !
