I've never owned a console, but lately I've been wanting more to own physical copies of my games. Partly to collect and for resale value, but also because of how much cheaper physical copies are at places like Gamestop. For example Persona 3 Reload is 50% off on Steam at $35 right now, which is probably the lowest I've seen it ever, but I'm seeing it for $15 dollars at my local gamestop. My PC a go to when I want to play competitive games, but as I've gotten more into singleplayer games I can't really think of one where I would rather play it on PC as opposed to console. If anyone has both, how much do you use them day to day?

imo no

there probably not enough exclusives.

pc will play all faster then on the ps5.

alot of the games are not on the disc so...🤷‍♂️

steam normal has good deals some times.

dizmo made a good point you have to pay to play online so...

AFAIK they don't really make true physical media anymore. Sure, you might get most of the game, but they'll often have you go and download something to make it function. Do you want enough games to make up that $20 difference? You'd have to buy probably 30 or 40 games before you're actually seeing a profit, especially if you need to also pay for the Playstation monthly sub.

I used to always have a console and a PC, but that was back when TVs weren't smart and the console acted as that bridge. Now that everything is built into the TV, there's not much of a need (for me) to have a console; it's redundant.

That said, I'll be buying an Xbox to play GTA6, unless they for some reason change and release it on PC at the same time. I'll probably sell it after that.

Since almost all ps5 games are coming to pc no.

Theres also the thing that most discs are just a code or hell theres not even a disc in the box anymore. So basically the physical game doesnr even have a game on it!

I had a ps5 for a while. Was not used part for final fantasy 16 and demon souls because well my pc is better and hooked up to the tv anyway.

Which is quite rare acrually these days.

If you want a console id say get a switch (2) most games are acrually on the card.

Also they are ACTUALLY exclusive (legally) aka they dont get ported to PC a year or 2 later if they are switch exclusive

If you disagree with anything I've said tell my why with logic not feeling

If you wanna correct smb do so with logic not anecdotes and feelings

Do you want to wait 2+ years to play games that are Sony exclusives?

Do you want to play GTA6 a few years late?

Welcome to the forum.

Is that really true with physicals? That's honestly a big reason as to why I was considering a console. And I'd be hard pressed to find 15 games I'd want to play on it, let alone 30-40. I'll heed your warning and see how I feel when the console and GTA6 bundles come out.
