I was repairing my pixel 7's buttons. I have it working and together now, but In order to get to the buttons I had to remove the battery. The battery had a lot of adhesive on it and i tried to remove as much as possible by gently rubbing it with alcohol and a microfiber cloth. I didn't get all of it but i got most of it.

I noticed the alcohol seemed to make some parts of the battery go a bit shiny and spread some adhesive around the back of the battery. Ive never removed a battery before and I plan to sell this phone so I want to be sure the battery is safe. I used these generic phone adhesive strips to put the battery back in which I hope is good enough. I've attached some photos thanks.
