Whining about Coil Whine (7900 XTX)

Being an aviator has it's downsides. Purchasing expensive gear is one of them.
I use Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024) and X-Plane 12 to stay current on my skills across a variety of aircraft. These simulator applications are known to be CPU and VRAM hogs!
Originally was running a Microsoft Surface Pro 9 i7 12th Gen with an Asus DUAL 3070 OC in a sidecar type-c enclosure. This worked consistently well on medium/low settings. Most of the time I was capping out my CPU or the puny 8GB of VRAM. So, I needed an upgrade and decided to do a new AMD build (haven't done one in years).
In comes the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D which I decided to pair with the AMD RX 7900 XTX which has 24GB VRAM. The CPU runs screaming fast (almost 5.4GHz @ 75C consistently on AIO liq chiller). The machine has been able to take absolutely everything I've thrown at it, which is AWESOME! I've never had a machine which can literally chew up and spit out anything you throw at it. Here's the kicker though...
THE COIL WHINE! It's REALLY loud. Like really, really loud. Surprisingly, I'm noticing it more on games where I play in fullscreen borderless mode using dual monitors.
I've heard the 7900 series has really bad coil whine as it is, but had no clue it would be this bad!
Any suggestions other than the typical "wear headphones"?
Is there any way to 'soundproof' this card? mATX soundproof case suggestions?
Does anyone know if AMD will rectify this situation?
Very loud coilwhine can be extremely annoying and I have personally had to RMA a card due to the loudness of its coilwhine.. I could hear the card over gameplay sound from my PSB Imagine X2T's..
My replacement card was whisper quiet.
Higher end GPU's like the Radeon 7900 series will have more coilwhine compared to lower end models ( for the most part ).
You can't really soundproof a card but you can buy cases with soundproofing. I remember my Fractal Design R5 had soundproofing in the side panels.
You can put a thick duvet or blanket over the case ( not blocking the fans of course ) this can help with soundproofing the system.
GPU's, Motherboards, PSU's and even monitors can have coilwhine. Its just power/current going through the coils making them vibrate.
My MOZA R12 has quite significant coilwhine but luckily I don't hear it with my headphones on.
Overall, there isn't much you can do unfortunately.
Limiting framerate can help quite a bit if you are pushing hundreds of frames.
