Hello guys I'm new to the forum , I'm seriously looking for any kind of help I can get , I've been dealing with random bosd for a couple of months since now , is totally random sometimes it happens when I'm playing games that really stress my computer and sometimes it happens right after I turn on the computer, initially I thought this might be related to the power supply , but now I'm getting this one stating is memory management , I used memtest86 using one module at a time to see if they are faulty but both of them passed with no errors.

Is it the power supply or the ram? the main ones I can see on the event viewer are 41 kernel power and on the minidump file MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (1a)

My specs

WINDOWS 11 PRO - 64 BITS

R7 3700X - Stock

RX 6700XT

DDR4 2X8 - 3200 MHZ XMP

NZXT C750 GOLD

ROG STRIX B550 - F

As well is worth to mention that the crashes are totally random, sometimes under load sometimes without any load, I tried running aida64 + furmark and sometimes I can leave there running for hours without crashing but sometimes as soon as I put the two tests to run the computer crashes.

Did you run it with both sticks in?

aida64

Aida64 causes problems with the AMD drivers and my 6900XT, no probs with no Aida64.

Hello thanks for answering, yes I also tried with both sticks at the same time and no errors , regarding aida 64 I'm only using it to stress the cpu since I noticed is not completely stressing the gpu , so is basically aida 64 stressing the cpu and furmark stressing the gpu

Have you tried new ram sticks. Last time I had this issue it was that. Get a new ram kit. Nothing fancy, just get a 3200 cl 16 kit.

Memory errors don't have to mean RAM, though it's usually the main suspect. It can be storage because of the page file which is treated basically like extra RAM, and it can be the CPU because the memory controller is in the CPU. When you get Memory_Management from storage you usually get inpage errors (Meaning it was discovered in the page file) which I don't see here, but it's not guaranteed that it discovered the error right after it happened, it could have been moved back to RAM before it was detected.

Memory testers aren't great with DDR4 and newer. I much prefer just using the PC normally with one stick at a time and seeing if only one of them causes crashes. I understand that with memory issues it can be random when it crashes so this can be slow, but it's the most reliable method.

If it crashes with either stick, the main suspect would be the CPU. It's incredibly unlikely that both sticks are faulty so it's usually a waste of money to buy a new kit for testing.

Thank you guys , I will get new sticks and try to replicate the error I'll keep you posted 🙂

Hello guys , I have an update ! so I tried with a new kit that I lend from a friend KF432C16BB (2x8GB - 3200mhz) and thanks to this I was able to discover that the problem was on the XMP settings , so everytime I set the frequency to 3200 MHZ XMP I have random BOSD whether it is with my ram (NMGD480E82-3200DF20 3200 mhz 2x8 GB) or with the other kit , but if I lower the frequency to 3066 XMP I have no BOSD at all , I don't know if the ram is not good enough or if its something related with the system , but so far by lowering the frequency I haven't had any BOSD ! Should I just leave the frequency on 3066 or should I play with the settings / timings or voltages of the ram , thanks guys

Make sure ram is in slot A2 and B2. Did you clear CMOS before installing the new kit? If not do that or remove Cmos battery for 5 min with PSU off.
