How the tides have changed... Nvidia cheaper than AMD!?

My cheapskate senses are tingling ~

 

No really, 5070 660 bucks, 9070 740 bucks... Should I go for it or will the 5070 just black screen whole time?

 

Really I want Nvidia because of recording feature, video encoding, I might even use blender ...  

 

12gb? Eh, my 3070 and 4070 have 8gb and I'm doing fine honestly...

 

But yeah, is something wrong with the 5070 or? 

 

(The 5070 would replace the 3070 btw, still going strong, but not so much in monster hunter wilds tbh... Performance is good, but fsr framegen is blurry af, it looks way sharper on the 4070 with DLSS tbh )

Tbth, I forgot about all the crashing, missing ROPS, wonky drivers and fire connectors... I knew there are issues, but didn't really consider the scope...

 

That explains why 4070 supers cost about twice as a 5070 I guess...?  Yikes.

I'm really torn, I definitely wouldn't mind an AMD card tho, so I suppose I just have to bite the bullet and try it out...

And by that I mean recording and editing... I have no reason to believe gaming performance isn't good/great, it's everything else...
