What's the current CPU? What's the game? What's the bottleneck?

Is it just a % on TaskManager/stats metric or is it actually bad fps/frametime performance?

Current CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Games: Oblivion Remaster, Schedule 1, Palworld Any game that is decently hard to run, for example, when I use DLSS, it doesn't even give me any benefits. Any game I touch that is somewhat CPU-heavy just doesn't run well. I can put it at low settings and still barely reach a decent frame rate. I'm not super familiar with this stuff, but every time I mention my issues, I always get the same answer: ''It's most likely a bottleneck.''

I noticed my GPU usage is usually lower than it should be. Lower graphics doesn't give me much extra FPS, and DLSS doesn't give me much FPS. DLSS set to quality/performance is the same.

Alright, that does make sense. I'd like to know though what exact brand and model is your Motherboard?

Alright that's a very good motherboard, 5700x3D might fix your issues.

How are your Chipset drivers? Did you make sure to update them when you were setting up your PC?

You could just update them:

https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html

  • Scroll little bit
  • Browse products select: Chipsets > AM4 > your motherboard chipset > submit > it should give you install just get the one that's called "AMD Chipset Drivers", there could be other drivers but you are only worried about Chipset ones.

Sorry for the late response was doing stuff with family. when I launch the chipset driver. Do I have to do anything, and can something bad happen?

Nope, if you got the right one it should just install the driver, it's similar to updating GPU drivers.

X570 chipset > Chipset Drivers > download (your windows version) > run > let it load and then install > wait for install to finish > maybe requires restart after
