Retro Colourway Screwdriver Gone?

Hey guys, so I was looking at the retro colour screwdriver for a while because I was waiting for a good time to buy it. Money was tight for me for a while so I couldn't really afford to get it but now I'm in a position where I can... and it seems to be gone. Did they remove it and/or announce that it won't be available anymore?

Like, yes, it's still an option in the store. However, it's been out of stock for a while and the pictures of that specific colourway are now gone from the page. Was I just too slow? I hope I wasn't. :(

Most likely gone. Linus said recently on WAN that they don't keep special editions around for forever. He didn't say how likely they would be to do new editions if there was enough interest.

I feel like a clear / frosted translucent screwdriver would be pretty cool

IIRC from WAN, it sounds cool, but getting one that is both robust and feels nice to use is not easy. Same reason why some other variants like black shafts are not ever coming back.

True, its a shame because they'd be a lot more appealing for some people

Retro color is gone-gone. It was a common color for the mystery driver during Black Friday.

Damn it. It seems like that happens to me really frequently. I wait until I'm in a more stable financial position to buy something and boom, suddenly I can't get that thing anymore. Oh well. 😔

It happens to me as well but I will say the screwdriver is really good. It might be worth the gamble doing a mystery screwdriver if you're going to use it a lot. They are really nice, you might not get retro colorway but in the end you'll get a great tool
