I didn't really build this PC; a friend of mine had it sitting in his basement "broken" for over a year and I mentioned I was interested. I wasn't interested in PC building or even Linus Tech Tips at the time. I ended up seeing a sticker for a 3070Ti, and upon looking it up, it appeared to be worth around $800 for that specific model. I was very excited, and he offered to sell it to me for $60. I gave him a down payment of $20 and after taking a look at it, I had no clue what was wrong. I texted him that I thought it needed a new motherboard, so I was going to return it to him and get my $20 back. He told me I could keep it for the $20, and that evening, I got it to boot. It was a little janky (Windows was installed on the HDD for some reason) but after around a day of finagling, I got it running on the SSD. Still the greatest deal I have EVER gotten (and I think I will get) for my first real gaming PC. What I personally think is funny is that I spent more money to upgrade the other parts of my setup in order to accommodate it. I upgraded my monitor and RAM, and then the power supply. It's been great joining the PC building and gaming community, and I don't think I'll ever go back to console gaming.
