Nintendo Switch Dock issue(Please help!)

I'm having issues with my Switch dock(OG, not OLED), where I got the blinking green light of death. I think it was caused by the times the power flickered during storms back in March of this year. I got a new wall wart to see if it was the cable, but its not. USB pass through still worked because I have a light for the dock that runs on the USB. I have tried a different HDMI cable as well to no avail. My switch recognizes when it's in the dock, but it won't charge. At this point I am out of ideas, and hate the idea of chasing more money for this.

does the switch charge through a usb c cable?
