I am looking to upgrade my 3060ti and I noticed that the 4070 Super and 5060ti 16Gb are really similar in price.

Which one do you recommend for my 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor?

From what I saw the 4070 Super should be slightly better but its ~10% more expensive

Why only Nvidia options?

Good question. I never really considered the others.

Then lets start over

Where do you reside in terms of a country, what games do you play and how much are you looking to spend

And most importantly is the PC JUST for gaming or will you do any sort of productivity or care about Raytracing?

If you disagree with anything I've said tell my why with logic not feeling

If you wanna correct smb do so with logic not anecdotes and feelings

If you're in the US, this has been my go-to option, and I even bought one as a backup:

SAPPHIRE Radeon RX 7900 XT Video Card 21323-01-20G - Newegg.com

Otherwise, you're spending a lot of time hunting for a decent price on something like an RTX 5070ti at $900+. Everything else below that might not be worth it, like the 5060ti 16GB or 5070. I'd say 16GB of VRAM is the minimum for 1440p ultrawide if you're looking for a long term GPU upgrade.

I just recently upgraded my brother's RTX 3070 with an RX 9070 and its night and day different for him. Plenty of games he plays exceed 12GB of VRAM utilization at 1440p ultrawide.

10%?

5070 Ti is ~40% faster than 4070 Super

I doubt 5070 Ti costs almost as much as 4070 Super in US.

okay, in that case I'd personally choose 9070,

because it's 40% faster than 5060 ti. (yes 40% again)

I live in Poland and my budget for the GPU is ~3000zł ($800)

I play a lot of different games but recently got back into cyberpunk, hogwarts legacy and baldurs gate 3

Looking at general websites my options are:

  • 5060ti 16Gb
  • 5070 12Gb
  • 4070 Super 12Gb
  • 7700 XT 12Gb
  • 7800 XT 16Gb

I would prefer this to be a 2 fan card since I have a small case (Micro ATX mobo)

The 5060ti is the cheapest and seems like a great price per $

EDIT: I saw a 5060ti for 2350zł and a 4070 Super for 2900zł (yes more than 10% my bad)

The answer is a resounding NOPE to that 🙂 card is so not worth it nvidia didnt bother sending the full line up to reviewers and they just send the 5060 Ti 16gb cause they know the responce will be "Shit is overpriced as usual"

The 5070 is the fastest card in RAW raster but I dont believe they made a 2 fan version (tho 3 fans versions can be rather small as well AKA able to fit so just find the model that suits your needs in that regard)
The 7800xt is no slouch however and I believe a fair bit cheaper with more VRAM aka will age better

IF you can get the 5070 for around 600 then thats your card imo if its more then the 7800xt is the go to

The 5060ti is a 1080p card. Don't be fooled by 16 GB. It's the same story as the 4060ti 8/16GB—they perform almost identically badly at 1440p and higher, a bit more fps(+15 in badly optimized games like Last Of Us 1) and smoother, but you will still need to dial down settings to get anywhere near playable fps.

There is a reasonably priced 5070 two fan version. Wont the lower vram matter on my monitor?

Why would it?

If the card can do a resolution it'll do it

As @Timme said the 5060 ti has 16gb but it is still a 1080p card

The 5070 has 12 but that doesnt mean it isnt a 1440p card

And define reasonably priced?
