First-time builder looking for best CPU+GPU combo with a loose budget of 2500 AUD, and recommendations to reduce price

Hello LTT forum, I'm looking for the best combo of CPU and GPU, for a very long-lasting build that maximises performance and avoids any bottlenecks between CPU and GPU. I'm also open to any recommendations to reduce the price of my build, and additionally wondering if my existing part list has any glaring oversights or rookie mistakes.

Current parts list: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/MarqBruh/saved/htctCJ

I'm upgrading from this laptop due to unsatisfactory performance in demanding games at 1440p, video editing, and machine learning.

Budget (including currency): Loose budget of around $2500 AUD, fully willing to go over if necessary

Country: Australia

Intended use case:

Not intending to ever use over 2 monitors, with the main one being 2560x1440, 144hz

Most demanding games would be:

- Fortnite

- Minecraft

- Control

- Ace Combat 7

- BeamNG

- Sims 4

- Doom 2016, Eternal

- Deep Rock Galactic

- Kerbal Space Program 1 + 2

I'll also be using this build for:

- Music production (FL Studio)

- CAD/3D modelling

- Video editing

- Some machine learning, but that's not a priority at all

Additional information:

- I'm looking to buy in 1-2 years.

- I'm OK with ordering parts online as long as they are shipped from Australia, so preferably no Amazon, Newegg etc.

- I'd prefer an Nvidia GPU and AMD CPU.

- I'm willing to overclock if necessary.

- I'd prefer a Micro ATX case + motherboard, the AP201 case I've selected is perfect.

- I absolutely don't care about RGB, it doesn't influence my preference whatsoever.

- Anything in the parts list or my preferences is open to suggestions and modifications to improve performance/price.

Thank you so so much for helping with my first ever PC build!

Best to start these threads no sooner than 7 - 10 days before you plan on purchasing due to the ever changing prices, availability and new tech being released.

Then ask again in 1-2 years. The custom PC market moves so fast with prices changing constantly and new parts being released that a list recommendation doesn't last a week, let alone over a year. Any recommendation we make will be irrelevant by the time you actually go to buy something.
