Mouse that works with Mac Mini that doesn't have input lag?

I've tried three mice at this point, all with different tricks. I've used an MX Master 3, both bluetooth and dongle based. I've used the MX Vertical, bluetooth and dongle based. I've tried the Razer Viper V3 Pro, wired into the USB-A dongle. I've thrown Linear Mouse on my Mac and disabled mouse acceleration. I've disabled the "shake to show cursor" feature on the Mac as well.

All of these options still have introduced some amount of input lag while using the Mac. I borrowed a Magic Mouse just to try it out, and it worked absolutely flawlessly, except for the mentally braindead design in both ergonomics and charging port location. It is possibly the worst mouse I've ever used in my life (including the ones with the trackball on the bottom from the 90s), but it's the only one that works without input lag on MacOS. All other mice have input lag of anywhere from a quarter of a second to a full half second, which makes precision movements when selecting items in a user interface almost impossible. I am comically slower at all my work when using the Mac Mini compared to my Windows PC.

So with all that said, I'm hoping to find a mouse that actually works with the Mac Mini that isn't designed by fools and psychopaths. Has anyone had luck with any option out there? I was really hoping to get Windows out of my life for good, and Linux isn't an option with the proprietary software I am required to use for work.

Maybe it's because I'm not a gamer, but I don't perceive any input lag on any of the mice I've used so far, on my 120Hz and 240Hz monitors;

- Razer DeathAdder V3 Wired Gaming Mouse

- Logitech G203 LIGHTSYNC Wired Gaming Mouse

- Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse

- Logitech G309 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse

this might be a silly question, but why are you running a service to disable mouse accel when you can turn it off in terminal? My 30 seconds of googling doesn't show any reports of of LinearMouse causing lag, but any layer of software is just another link in the chain that could be causing issues. Have you tried turning it off and seeing that helps?

I use a Logitech G Pro gamer. I share it between my Mac and PC. I like the 3000 DPI setting due to my ultrawide monitors.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

As far as I know, that has to be run every time the Mac boots up, which sounds miserable. I'll try disabling LinearMouse when I get home and running that terminal command to see if that fixes the issue though.

i'm using an mx master 3 on windows with no preceivable input lag (i'm not a twitch speed gamer by any means, but i'm at least above pleb level of sensivity to input latency), so this sounds like a software issue to me.

I have an MX Anywhere 3, and I have noticed issues with both the dongle and Bluetooth. As far as the dongle is concerned I think it could have been interference from my WIFI router thats in the same room OR an issue with the dock I was using. As far as bluetooth is concerned, well it's Bluetooth and you cant expect much from it. Though I did find that Bluetooth worked better for the most part.

If you want no input lag you're better off getting a wired mouse.

Dang. I had been enjoying my wireless lifestyle since I got a G Pro Superlight. I guess I'll plug the dongle into the Mac Mini and a wired mouse into the USB A slot of the dongle.

Really not enjoying the Apple experience so far. Thought it would be as convenient as Windows without the incessant ads and telemetry. Guess not.

From my understanding the G Pro Super light is a light speed wireless device. Light speed wireless is the proprietary wireless 2.4 Ghz standard Logitech uses in its gaming products. It's suppose to be as good as wired. Outside of that Im going to say the more office style mice probably not going to be as good. I cant speak for Wireless razor mice as I have never used one.

One thing to consider to, is all these wireless standards you have used use 2.4 Ghz, its possible the spectrum in your area is just really full and busy. We only got 11 Wireless channels and every WiFi device, Bluetooth device and numerous other proprietary wireless devices use the same 11 2.4 Ghz channels. Bluetooth and Proprietary Wireless device will not show up in a WiFi scan, so you have no way of knowing how many devices are actually utilizing the spectrum.

Just in my generally experience. Wireless peripherals never performed as good as wired. Now most of my experience comes way before all these higher end wireless mice and keyboards and I was more of a gamer back then. Even with the lag I was getting with Bluetooth its was mostly tolerable. Also I dont like having to charge things like Keyboards and Mice, so I stick to wired. To each their own I guess.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
