I wasn't sure if this counted as "Tech companies being pretty cool" considering its a one person incident, but I was extremely impressed, it was a company LTT featured in the cheap controller roundup, and I wanted to share the positive experience for anyone considering one.

After their video, I decided to pick up the Gamesir G7 SE. Its wired because I can't stand messing with batteries or remembering to charge them.

Controller came in, the cable does disconnect from it for convenience, but they designed it to hold the cable in place pretty well, and the cable, while it likes to maintain the packaging "bends" a little too much, is a VERY thick, beefy cable.

The Problem: After less than 2 months, the most used face buttons went  from having a decent tactile "click" to being very "mushy" and then not even registering every time. They would work, but there were a LOT of times in-game you could tell they just weren't working and you'd have to smash them 1-2 more times to make it register.

I honestly assumed I was just out the money, because in 2 months, I was out of that 30-day grace period, but just out of curiosity I fired off an email explaining the buttons, gave them all the order info etc.. They asked for a video demonstrating it, which I initially thought was just a way to deny any kind of replacement. (I mean let's be real, how do you SHOW that in-game buttons are not ALWAYS registering?) So I sent them a video of just the difference in SOUND you could audible hear when pressing the buttons. Had to boost the volume in Resolve but I got it sent over to them and there was a BIG difference even in the audio waveform LOL.

A couple days later, I had an email saying they were dispatching a new one, and including "a special gift" for my hardships?? Was honestly shocked  because I even told them in the email with the video that I didn't think it was enough to fully demonstrate what they were asking to see.

No clue what the gift is/might be, but I'll update the post when I get it. I just thought it was really cool a company I'd never heard of prior to the LTT video being more human than corpo about a product replacement. I can't speak for the longevity of the face buttons, the new one might have me going back to my wired 360 controllers again after a couple months too, but similar to the "special gift" I'll just have to wait and see, will update on that too.
