I have a TLC 55Q750G hooked up to my PC it's capable of 3840 x 2160 144hz, but I have to run 4k 60 because when I try to run at anything higher than 60hz the screen will begin to semi disconnect every half minute for about a second and then reconnect, I've tried customer support but of course they were useless as always but I have found that fully shutting down my pc turning on the TV then starting my computer can fix it; although it's inconsistent. It's stupidly annoying to have to restart my whole system when I just want to play Cuphead, would be VERY appreciative if someone found the solution I've had to deal with this for about a full year now. Tysm!

(I know 4k 120hz is too much for my gpu but I mainly play indie games and 2d platformers)

Welcome to the forums!
That *really* sounds like a bad cable. Do you have any other device or display capable of 4k120? If so, you should test with that known good cable.
It is possible the TV is actually broken and it can't handle 4k120, but it'll take some doing to prove that.

Just tried a new cable using a different port didn't seem to fix anything, In the past I've connected my laptop to the tv and it had the same issue using different cable

That sounds like a pretty solid indicator that the TV is bugged/broken
