Hi everyone,

I had a couple of BSODs recently that i would like assistance with addressing.

The first time it happened (about a week ago) happened too fast for me to notice what the error message said before it restarted. Prior to this i was play Indiana Jones when the fps really started to tank and then my PC BSOD/restarted.

This morning, it BSOD again but nothing strenuous was happening, only downloading a game on steam.

This time i caught part of what i think the BSOD message said which "UNEXPECTED KERNAL MODE TRAP".

The install date for the GPU driver is 16 April, and maybe the first BSOD happened around then. Could that be a cause? I know there's been talk about Nvidia driver issues lately.

My system specs are

Asus X570-E Wifi

32GB Corsair DDR4 ram (2 2x8gb kits i believe)

EVGA 3070 running the latest driver - 576.02

AMD 3700X CPU

Kingston 1TB NVME boot drive

Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD

Samsung 860 QVO 1TB SSD

WD Green 1TB HDD

Windows 11 - up to date

I have 3 monitors (Corsair Xeneon 165hz as main, 2x 27 inch attached also).

The system as a whole is at least 5 years old, and has been upgraded to Windows 11 from Windows 10.

System has been running fine up until the BSOD.

Thank you.

Latest NVidia drivers seem broken, DDU them and reinstall a previous version

Let's see if it solves the issue

So i went through the DDU process and installed the driver version prior to the most recent.

We'll see if the process is sorted.

I read that there's a hotfix driver out for the latest version, but i'll hold off on any of that.

If anything changes (or not), i'll update this thread.

Thanks PDifolco.
