Bad. Will likely overheat the board and even it if doesn't won't get the full K speeds as apparently those need a Z board.

if you can cool the board properly , and are ok with the reduced speeds due to power throttling then you could keep using it. but i would recommend upgrading

gaming system: Intel core I9 12900ks / biostar Z690A valkyrie / 4x8gb corsair Vengeance @3333Mhz ram / RX 7900XTX pulse gpu / Thermalright peerless assassin 140 /Coolermaster Qube 500 case / Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 12 1500w power supply

laptop: Dell xps 9510, 3.5k OLED, i7 11800h, rtx 3050 ti, 2x16gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz, 1TB main drive, 2TB add in ssd

dunno whether worth keep this combo had for like 9 months now or change motherboard to better 1 is it worth it

i never pair a k serries withentry level mobo, you been lucky your mobo is still working, just install hwmonitor and check mosfet temps on the mobo in stress test, you would understand why to not pair a high end cpu with low end mobo

Put a fan prefferably also heatsinks onto the vrms and thatll help

Assuming you just game the cpu wont be pegged at 100% for the most part so the vrms dont need to handle a constant 200w+ and only something close to 100w at best so if the vrms arent already fine which they may or may not be depending on case airflow you can just add a fan and heatsink to eliminate most of the vrm overheating issues
