Hotfix is apparently out already. Given first reports were days ago, if you've not been affected already, you're probably ok.

Let me share my experience after buying a 5060Ti...

Platform: Threadripper 2950X, X399 Aorus Pro, 64Gb RAM, 2070 Super and 1660Ti GPUs.
Unraid Server, 2x gaming VM for me and the wife to use Steam Link on. 

 

System has been utterly faultless for about 3 years. Decided it was time to upgrade so I bought myself a 5060Ti, and she is going to inherit the 2070S.

 

Installed card, stubbed to VM. so far so good. Open VM, install drivers, immediately crashed the entire host (not just the individual VM).

 

Apparently it's widely known that 50 series on X399 requires PCIe lanes to be gimped to 2.0, otherwise it just fails. The fact we are 3/4 months into this generation and basic issues like this are still a thing is a joke. Fitted a few 50 series cards for customers recently and it's genuinely been a gamble if the cards will work or not out of the box.

On the driver side though it seems 3000/4000 series has more problems on newer drivers.

i've been forcing dlss4 on 572.83, 1second black screen like twice a day? it's workable, i'm positive one of the older 57x.xx drivers had power delivery problems and was gonna kill my card.

 

if i wasn't forcing dlss4 i'd just go back to 566.36.
