Got a 5080 today, paired with my recently bought 1000W PSU, X870 motherboard by ASROCK with a 9800X3D. Tried installing the gpu, was seemingly fussy at first, cables i couldn't see were blocking the gpu from being aligned right to be inserted into the PCIE port, i did try pushing a little bit before i noticed this, changed the alignment and plugged it in all well seated, fixed the sag with a brace etc. Tried powering it on, nothing, no fans no LED turning on. Things I tried after this: tried different wall sockets, unplugged and replugged all cables from my PSU and motherboard and GPU side. Started to try booting without GPU after this point, nothing. Then tried to short the front panel pins on the motherboard, nothing. Tried shorting the 24 pin ATX directly with the paperclip method, PSU fans spun up. Tried with a few older PSUs, tried with them powering just the motherboard (nothing but the 24 pin connected) , nothing (not sure if this can give any result considering everything else was unpowered. No LEDs light up for error codes, nothing. I live a bit far away from most decent repair/ retail stores to test with more PSUs or my PSU with another PC. I could order the needed component to rebuild the PC within the day. What would you suggest? (I am 90% sure its the motherboard ATP. I must have knocked some capacitor or some tracing I guess during the GPU install.) Thank you.
