MSI MPG X870E Carbon WiFi - Ryzen 9 9950X3D Memory wont run in dual channel.

Just built a new computer and I'm having an issue with getting it to boot when enabling XMP

Every time I try and enable XMP / EXPO to get my RAM to run at 5600MMHz the system simply won't boot seems to get stuck at memory training.

I've bought 2x 64GB Kits of Corsair DDR5 both at 5600MHz

Slapped them into the MSI MPG X870E Carbon WiFi along with a Ryzen 9 9950X3d

System runs perfectly without XMP enabled

How long are you letting it go? It sounds like you're trying to run 4x32GB is that correct?

Part could mean they have 4x64 which if memeory serves (no pun intented) AM5 cant handle in general

If you disagree with anything I've said tell my why with logic not feeling

If you wanna correct smb do so with logic not anecdotes and feelings

2x 64GB kits tells me 2x 2x32GB kits. 4x DIMM's total, 128GB.

The OP wasn't clear and needs to clarify.

Regardless, 128GB of RAM is going to likely take quite a while to train.

~Total is 128GB, 4 x 32GB sticks, Kits went in correct channels on the board.

Left it running for about 30 mins trying to memory train.

CPU got hot as hell when I let it run,  when i gave up &  rebooted,  I got into the system and the CPU temp was 90C after 30 mins of letting it do the memory training.

Sounds like you've got a few problems, or your CPU needs to be reseated/inspected.

4x32GB isn't expected to run, I would've opted for a 2x48GB or 2x64GB kit instead for reliability's sake. All of the 4x32GB kits I'm seeing are running horrendous CL40 timings on a 5600 kit, and I doubt your 2*2x32GB kits have that poor of timings.

Hot damn, this kit is cheap. Yeah, the timings and speed sucks, but 96GB of RAM for $160?

The CPU idles at around 45C and under full load hits about 75-80C usually.

When the BIOS is running the fan speed is minimal on the 360 AIO and I think that's what caused the issue with temps after trying to memory train.

Been a few cases where one or a few of the pins that connects the RAM to the memory controllers on the CPU isn't getting great contact, that's where reseating/inspecting the CPU comes in. Sometimes that's instability or just straight up not seeing a memory channel. Especially if you didn't fully inspect the socket and back of the CPU before installing it.
