Help needed for Hybrid PC Gaming/Workstation

Hi,

 

I would like to build a new PC that should be in the upper segment for gaming and workstation tasks.

 

I previously had an Intel build (14700k) and was quite happy with it. I'm open to new things like AMD 9900X or 9800X3D... as long as it can handle the workstation tasks and still provide good gaming performance.

Budget (including currency): 1500 Euro

Country: EU

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: This will be mainly for gaming, virtualizing machines and a small part for image editing.

Game which will be played at 1440p:

• COD Warzone
• GTA5; Maybe prepared for GT6?
• CS2
• Warhammer 40k

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 

I have a 3080TI, 2x 27" 140hz monitors, 24" 60hz monitor, 1TB M2, 256GB OS SSD and 2TB M2.

Is it worth paying the extra for 9950X or is the difference in performance so minimal that it's not worth it?

There were thread scheduling issues with that cpu but that might have been fixed by now ... not sure tbh.
