Hyper-V on Windows 11 running homebridge - losing network connection after restart or PC reboot.

On my Windows 11 PC I have a Hyper-V VM to run Homebridge. When the PC restarts or I shut down the VM and then restart it, it does not secure an IP address and shows no connection. It I delete the VM and re-import from a backup folder and start the VM it gets a network connection again. Everytime either the PC restarts or I stop the VM running I have to follow this procedure. Once the network connection is gone, I can restart the VM or the service etc and it never gets a network connection. It seems that only the first start secures the network connection.

I am using the instructions for homebridge on Hyper V to the letter, creating an external switch which always works first time but never after that??

I'm surprised you were able to get Homebridge working in Windows at all. Every time I tried, the instructions got to "it might not work in Windows." Which is why I was so easily persuaded to try proxmox on my server PC and run Linux in a VM.

Pretty straight forward apart from the network connection problem.
