what happen if i connect my latop (Dell Latitude 5510) that only has :

  • a HDMI 1.4b
  • a DisplayPort 1.2 on USB Type-C port

to my ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM ? will i cap out at 4K60hz on the dp cable and 4K30hz on the hdmi cable ? or will the image just compress to allow 4K240hz? and can the usb c port on the monitor even be used as a display input ?

Correct, it will be limited to 4K 60Hz over USB-C and 4K 30Hz over HDMI 1.4b.
