Modernising home office - 2x 27" or 34" UW

I've currently got 2x 22" 1080p screens that my work gave me during lockdown, to say they're bad is an understatement but I coped 馃槃

I'd like to upgrade to something bigger and better. I'm not a big gamer so mad refresh rates and response times aren't a 'must have' requirement.
1440p, 100Hz+, thin bezels and good connectivity are the must. I'd really like USB-C connectivity with power delivery but if that's too much to ask for then I'm OK continuing to use the hub/dock I have.

Budget is 拢400-500. I've got a monitor stand that can accommodate 2x 32" screens but if I were getting a UW then I'd just use the stand it comes with.

What are your recommendations?聽
Thanks!

Beware this can quickly become addictive!

I now have ~7700x1600 on my main workstation anad ~5800x1200 on each of the other five.聽 Additionally, I have a second "virtual" display hiding behind the primary for those things that I want to leave open but not waste real estate on.聽 For example, a TELNET/VNC/X Windows session to some other host that I may want to consult or monitor while doing other work.

More importantly, the actual space that is occupied by the "presentation" becomes significant -- my phone has an insane resolution but I sure wouldn't want to look at that tiny display to do REAL work!

You should consider how wide the total physical display is as well as how far from your eyes it is sited.聽 You don't want to be "watching tennis matches" while using it (swiveling your head constantly to see some other part of the display).聽 I've configured mine such that I can see the entire width while focused on the center portion (though if I want to scrutinize a particular area, I have to shift my gaze -- but not my head -- to that direction)

Once you get accustomed to having a lot of display real estate, you discover you HATE stacking windows!

I don't play games so I'm looking for information content, not fine detail in CGI faces or smooth motion, etc.

What is your GPU situation like. Also, your particular games / software. The single Ultrawide will probably require less GPU heft but some games and older software misbehave on Ultrawide displays.

So I've got an HP EliteBook from work and my personal is an M4 Pro MacBook Pro.
I'm mostly looking from the productivity PoV but I still want it to be a good screen that can game if needed (But as I said, I don't need/want mega gaming specs).

I'm thinking 2x 27" would be best, Can anyone recommend a pair of good 27"'s for 拢200-250 each?
Thanks!

There are tons of decent models in the 1440p 120hz range these days. It's just a matter of finding the best recent price drops. As to specific models in your range, I couldn't really sat as I operate in the realm of the rapidly devaluing USD. I will add that from my experience (27" is my preferred size too) 24" and 32" models both seem to exist in greater abundance than 27" ones; so, you may have better options if you adjust your size target. If it helps, my go to brands for monitors are: ASUS, LG, and Samsung.
