Hello all! My gfs computer was boot looping when she woke up this morning. After some troubleshooting including trying ram from my PC and testing all ram slots individually and reseating the CPU multiple times, clearing the cmos. I've found that the computer doesn't boot if there is any ram slotted into what I believe are slots B1 and B2 (the furthest 2 ram slots from the CPU) the CPU is a 3700x and the motherboard is a b450m/AC the ram are Corsair low profile 3600 ddr4 16gbx2. If you need any other info let me know

The most common reason for losing a channel is the cooler mount (uneven, loose, etc), but if you have repeatedly re-seated the CPU that seems unlikely.

Yeah I was in the same mindset. I reseated it twice and gave it a little wiggle to make sure it was properly seated then clamped it all down. There was a storm last night so I'm a little afraid it somehow damaged the mobo but it seems so unlikely

Small update, its giving some post codes now I think the mobo might be dead. I switched cpu coolers to hopfully get more mounting pressure. I cant get a full install finished anymore. I got to the linux mint desktop but it froze and hasnt come back
