Hi guys.

I want to replace stock fans of my AIO with RGB ones.

I am too inpatient, anxious and nervous to do bigger job like disassembly case, remove top of the case, and possibly remove the pump then unscrew radiator from case, then  unscrew fans from radiator, which for me is a lot of job.

Is it possible to replace the fans on radiator, in my case, while the pump is mounted onto the socket, or I need to remove pump first too then remove whole AIO so I can replace fans, which I am not happy to do (lazy, anxious etc...)?

Seems to me in that way I would need third hand which would hold the radiator vertically while I unscrew fans from radiator.

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

It seems you have a dedicated connector for your fans so this should be doable.

I'd just place the heatsink vertically against the front side (or even against the right side), I don't think I'd need a third hand for that.

(you could maybe fix it in place temporarily with rope or something)

I'm willing to swim against the current.

You think I would have enough space from that angle, in front of the radiator, so I could replace the fans, though, the case is huge?

Just unscrew the fans and remove the fan cables. You probably don't even have to take out the radiator. If the cables of the fans are stuck because of the radiator, you might have to remove it, but there is no reason to remove the entire aio.

Otherwise what would be the normal procedure.

Do I need to remove AIO backplate as well?

Replace thermal paste as well?

It is Z690 strix MoBo and 13700K.

AIO is DeepCool LH720, smth like that.

Just write me my friends normal procedure if I would like to replace radiator fans.

To find this is like searching needle in a haystack here.

Needs this is radiator removed place vertical and unscrew fans with this?

Have those one for my bike, but "imbus" shape.

I have local store of mechanical parts near, will check if they have those, should have.

I am overthinking, again and again...

Guys, how would you do it?

The advantage is if there is no need to remove pump from socket

option one: unscreew it from the top, get som1 to hold the unit while u unscrew the fans

option two: buy or get the tool in my pic, and just screw out the fans

I am going opposite procedure then installing AIO? Correct me if I am wrong.

So first I need to remove radiator from the top of the case, then while the pump is on tue socket try and manipulate with radiator so I can get best angle to remove the fans.

yes that is the easy way (if u have enough hands to hold it and screw)

Hmmm, even with the tool you provied, screws marked with red are not accessable because of the VRM heatsink.

It's hard to see from picture, but that is the way it is.

Which means then left option 1.

But I am nervous and anxious because of my primary sickness, maybe better left it when I am in the mood and rested.

I think, for sure, needs 2 person, one to hold the radiator and other one to screw and replace the fans, which means 3 hands.I can not hold the radiator while at the same time place the fans and screw them.

I am not scared, it is just I am not in the mood.It would require more time, replace even thermal paste, which I don't feel like I am going to do.

I will leave it for some better days when I am rested and in the mood for that job.

Whatever I touch I make it fail, so I'd probably mess smth up,because when you do job that you don't want to, you usually make things go worse.

It literally take a minute, then another 2 minutes to spread the TIM.

I guess you could just keep using it like it is, and always have that thought in the back of your mind.

Yeah I know but simply I am not in the mood to do it.

Besides, these fans install 3 in a pack onto the radiator because of some magnetic connection which then made me think I need ti remove completly AIO.

Before I had wish and will to to these kinda of jobs, when sickness took my life, I am not willing to do this.Lost a will, completly.

You really don't need to sorry anything about.

I thought purchasing fans would be easy to replace the stock AIO ones.

I mean yeah it is easy but just needs more steps then I thought.

just do one fan at a time...🤦‍♂️ no need for more then one person...

if the screw driver fits then take it out if not you have to find one that fits or take off the aio

if you take it off you need to clean the past off with ice alcal then need to get new past.

I have dyslexia plz be kind to me. dont like my post dont read it or respond thx
