Hello fellow users

I am upgrading to a new GPU since my EVGA FTW3 3080 (RIP) died on me yesterday. I have made my mind to go team red this time. I am confused on which one to get. I personally like the design of Gigabyte Aorus but I have heard some horror stories regarding their RMA. Sapphire Nitro+ is CAD $100 expensive than the Aorus model. Which one is a better card among them? If you have any other suggestions, I would love to hear them as well!

Sapphire: https://www.canadacomputers.com/en/powered-by-amd/269135/sapphire-nitro-amd-radeon-rx-9070-xt-16gb-gddr6-11348-01-20g.html?keyword=9070 xt

Thank you!

I love Sapphire Nitro line but not "give up 100CAD extra" love. I would go for Aorus line if there's no other cards that are on stock for cheaper, as far as i know theyve cleaned up their practice significantly from the 6000 series line that was prone to failure due to poor thermal pad quality and PCB layering.

Thank you. I am definitely over spending as the card is $999 CAD before taxes. Around $721 USD

I have sapphire 9070 xt pulse and it's really quiet and temps are low. Don't see any reason besides esthetics to choose different model.

Both Pulse and Aorus are similar in price over here. That's why i thought to buy the aorus model

gigabyte sucks as a brand, tend to have fan issues or not that great cooling, even the higher model. at least this has been my experience with gigabyte cards and i know many have had the same thing.

IF i may ask, why are you not looking at powercolor either or asrock?

In my opinion, The best brands for amd you can get in this order: (-=equal)
Powercolor - Sapphire
Asrock
XFX - gigabyte  - yeston - acer
asus
dont ever buy asus, bad costumer support. okaish to bad cards but its a company thats not worth supporting.

I wanted a powercolor hellhound but no stock 😞

Asrock is around $150 pricier than a Aorus and same price as a sapphire. Xfx is even expensive for some reason at my local memory express. I am also looking at older nvidia models like 4070 ti super which is same as a 5070 ti i guess. 4070 ti super from gigabyte costs $150 more as well.

This is so confusing lol. I am inclined towards thr aorus model tbh
