Budget (including currency): Balanced system around the 5060 TI

Country: England

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly esports games. I also play and make mods for ARK SA in UE5.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Here is what I have put together on PCPP: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/LhxbrM

I want a balanced system based around the 5060 TI.

The last time I built a PC (current system), the 3770K was the new hot, and I have not kept up-to-date with PC hardware.

From what I have heard, there's a bunch of stuff to consider with RAM and BIOS settings?

I want to use my existing PSU, an EVGA 750W G2.

The motherboard I chose will need a BIOS update, and from what I have read, I should be able to flash the board without a supported CPU?

I don't have a budget as such, I just can't justify spending more than what the 5060 TI costs on a GPU.

If you want to go a bit overkill on the CPU, that's fine, because UE5 will like that.

Any input is welcome.

EDIT: I almost always have satellite TV playing on an additional monitor using Kodi, which seems to eat up quite a lot of system resources. Maybe another reason to over spec the CPU a little? 9700x?

roughly 23 GBP more but you get a mobo that wont kill your PC and more ram

Alternatively this https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/rs9tsp is the same with a 7700x which is somewhat stronger if you feel like you need it

PS: If you can hold out on buying PC parts like GPUs and the such I suggest you do so cause the market is a shit show currently with the whole of the new releases thing

If you disagree with anything I've said tell my why with logic not feeling

If you wanna correct smb do so with logic not anecdotes and feelings

Thanks for the reply.

What was wrong with the mobo I picked?

Did you swap the case just to get the price down?

Never heard of that brand of RAM, are you sure it's good stuff?

I've been waiting years for GPU prices to “settle”, seems like this is the new norm now.

Been around for a while and brand doesnt really matter as long as the timings are good which they are

Takes a while but while we rarely reach MSRP we reach good enough prices

The b580 went from 400$+ to about 300 which is a reasonable price aka a good enough price

You are also in the UK so account for VAT for yourself as well
