So i just watched todays LTT video on the 5060ti 16gb, but assuming the 5060TIs dont get scalped like crazy, everything I am seeing is that this is actually going to be a decently measurable upgrade from my 2080ti. I mainly play & stream AAA titles like COD, Rivals, & Minecraft at 1080p. got a 5800x and 32gb of ram.

What are yalls thoughts?

I think an upgrade to a Radeon RX 7800 XT would be great.

I intend to stay with Nvidia specifically for NVENC encoding

Thats the issue... assuming.

See the street price for yourself then we'll talk. But my feeling is that 5070 or even 5070Ti will be a far far more wise purchase in terms of FPS/Dollar.

Look there is literally no stock of these. Reviewers aren't even getting the cards properly in because THEY DO NOT EXIST. This is going to be AT LEAST 500$+ probably 600$ because scalping.

The performance looks to be around 3070ti level so yeah no TERRIBLE upgrade seeing as a 2080ti is really not far off. It's gonna be maybe a 20% uplift and well yeah no 500$+ for a 20% uplift is just bad value.

So yeah no don't get this card. Its just a bad value upgrade.

Amds av1 encode and nvidia's are not distinguishable. As in they look identical so that advantage has completely dissapeared.

If you really want Nvidia, buy used. That's your only hope of getting decent value. But the games and settings you mentioned don't really call for an upgrade imo. The 2080 Ti should handle 1080p no problem.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

isnt it just the 8gb ones that "dont exist" because nvidia did not want them being seeded to reviewers?
I have to imagine they are mostly focused for OEMs so Dell can claim their alienware PC has a 5060ti.
