I never used it myself but it is advertised as a 230W tdp cooler. That should be more than enough to cool a 65W CPU. And it's not the first time I heard good reviews for that cooler too.

If you live in Canada, I seen that both Newegg and Canada Computers are selling the Hyper 212 for way cheaper than Amazon.

Have a nice day !

Wondering if my Thermaltake AIO is dead.....

Will try to keep this short.

Useage : Mild gaming.  POE/POE2

PC Thermaltake prebuilt.  MSI 3070 + Ryzen 7 3700x

CPU Cooler = Thermaltake Floe RC240 CPU & Memory AIO Liquid Cooler

Case (some open model monstrosity that looks like an Apache.....)(I got it cheep, what can i say)

Everything was working fine for upwards of 1.5 years.  All the sudden i heard a "gurgle"..... (dont know another way to describe it, sorry.) And the PC hit the overheat shut down limit.

Checked everything out, looks ok, sounds ok but it consistently heats up to 80+ now randomly.  Before, under load it would barely go past 60c?  Now loading POE (when I'm lucky) it runs at about 75c, but randomly goes to 90-95c.  Even at idle.

I feel slight vibration in the hoses.  One is hot (when it should be) the other is cold.

Stupidity took over... when it hits 90+, I took a massage gun to the pipes LOL.. dropped to 39c in about 20 seconds.

Is this pretty clear indication the pump is damaged or the liquid inside is gunked up beyond repair?

It's kind of your choice to continue using that cooler or change for one that doesn't require a massage gun 😛

AIO are usually non-refillable and non-repairable. So, if you got an issue and it's out of warranty, you better consider changing it.

You can use about any cooler with the 3700X because its tdp is only 65W. Many air coolers (including the AMD stock cooler) will dissipate that much heat without the failure points of an AIO.

Good luck !

In your opinion, would a Cooler Master Hyper 212 be adequate? Goal is to keep it semi quiet but I really want to keep the temps in the 60c range (Max 70's). I dont even really know why i want this but it just feels right.  The CM 212 seems "oddly" cheep, but has good reviews.  Just dont know if the reviews are fake, Amazon is not as trustworthy as it once was...
