I was wandering around looking at clearance stuff on Titan Rig and came across several Lamptron air coolers. I remember that last year Roman pointed out that there was a serious issue with the software keys for the display not being legit.

So the title is the first question.

The second question is about their newer CT070 fan controller which, honestly, seems to be really good but I'm worried it has the same software problem that Roman pointed out and the only reason I know it's for sale is because they reached out to me directly and offered it for $160. Has anyone heard if they resolved the software problem? The FC ticks MOST of the boxes I have, but not enough to buy them, and so I declined. Also, I had to ask questions about the device and its compatibility with what I need it to do because the documentation didn't show everything and, aside from one or two things, it's almost like they deliberately made it for me based on an email I sent out in 2023 about looking for an FC, with my requirements, to about 50 companies.

Thoughts? Info? Thanks!

Is there more to it than just the software issue, bro?

AFAIK Lamptron exists in name only, and they used to be good. Word had it that they have been sold a few times. The bad Aida code they used to send is what finally swayed me to my current opinion. Plus is all that cash worth 6 heatpipes and a screen?

That's what I'm debating. Titan Rig has a TRC20 code that'll give 20% off the clearance ones already reduced prices, and there's a 10% off code for non-clearance.

Honestly, though, I probably won't get them because I'm concerned like you, but I thought maybe I'm wrong and I'd better ask.
