HDD type noises but I have no HDD

I hear lately like some sort of crrhhrrhrh, reminds me of the good ole HDD noises, however I have no HDD. I have an 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD 2TB and a Crucial 2TB SSD. I think these HDDs don't make a noise. The GPU is a 1660 Super, it does not sound like a fan noise, because it's a fast in and out sound, there is no acceleration. The fan is a big Noctua fan. GPU is 3950X and 32GB RAM, it's very snappy computer and does not struggle with any tasks. The build is quite silent on the Fraktal Define R5 I think it was. The noise does not seem fan related of vibration. It really does sound like HDD. The noise does not seem related to me doing anything. It randomly sounds. Like right now im browsing here and sometimes it makes the noise. What is going on?

Probably a fan.

 

Same thing as a hard drive. Spinning rust.

But sounds weird, i dont imagine a fan sounding like that, why is it a sudden sound that goes in and out?

Interference over the audio output or coil whine perhaps?

It is no audio noise, it is a physical noise comming from inside the pc.

Remove the bottom filter. Check for the sound.

 

Also, sometimes an AIO pump going bad might produce sounds similar to Maxtor HDD noise.

Think about it... No moving arts... except.... cooling solution....right?

 

It's either a fan or a pump, or a combination of the aforementioned... (Or otherwise probably GPU, either fans or just coilwhine)

No water cooling, only fans.

This. I know there was a noise in my son's PC that would come and go that was driving me nuts. Ended up being the filter for the PSU. It would vibrate every now and then, and make a noise almost like a bad fan. I ended up putting a couple small bends in it so it fit tighter in the rails. No longer vibrates. 

 

Have to start removing things to eliminate them.
