Given how high-end keyboards are really more of a personal preference thing, I don't see them really being able to add something meaningful here. And I don't mean that they wouldn't be able to design and create it, with enough time. I mean that a lot of stuff is already out there, yet only sold in small quantities as group buys.

On the other end, the market is already flooded with a lot of high-quality but low price offerings from china and asia that are hard to beat in price. And again, what innovation or improvement could they bring to the table to justify the project?

The screwdriver, as I understood it, was really a thing because Linus saw a need for a high-quality one with certain features: specific ratchet mechanism, storage compartment, optimized for PC building. I don't see a similarly clear mission for keyboards, given how much customization and niche builds are already out there or are on IC/GB right now.

for what purpose? what do they have to add to the field of mechanical keyboards?

LTTstore stepping into new fields (screwdriver, backpack, etc.) is always because they feel like they have something to add to the field. mechanical keyboards is already a VERY saturated market, where pretty much anything is possible. i've even seen a keyboard somewhere that's essentially completely reprogrammable.

Wouldn't make sense really, especially being a peripheral and also price to outside of NA is insane already for their stuff.
