What should I choose between an RX 7600 XT 16GB, an Arc A770 16GB, or an RTX 3060 12GB with a 1080p 180hz monitor for some AAA gaming 1080p at the highest possible settings with raytracing at the highest possible frame rate and esports games at 1080p low settings at more than 200 FPS consistently? I also want to stream and record videos, edit them, and sometimes have more than 10 chrome+opera tabs open at once. I play Fortnite, Valo, CS2, plus a lot of AAA games like Tomb Raider, Spider Man, and Cyberpunk.btw im getting 5700x and 32gb ddr4 plus 600w psu so any recommendations on the psu would be appreciated thanks

Either an RTX 3060 12GB or an Intel Arc B580 OC. AMD doesn't do Ray Tracing very well (not the 7000 rx series), and old intel a700 has bad drivers.

cant seem to find any b580s for under 400 on amazon, and cheapest 3060 ships from Germany and arrives next month. I really don't know how Gpu prices managed to get this high this fast since January...

And it also needs to run max settings at 4k right?

On the part about raytracing, the Nvidia solution is preferable. Also the 3060 has access to DLSS4 so its the best chance at usable upscaling to 1080p

On the part aboit esports low settings for maximum framerate... Intel's drivers have a high CPU overhead which is going to be a handicap in such situations. It affects BOTH Alchemist and Battlemage

You don't have to worry about needing more than 12GB of VRAM at 1080p

I found an RX 7600 XT 16gb for 15 dollars cheaper than a 3060 12gb, plus I do want to stream esports n aaa games aswell and do some editing so I can experience the joy of getting brainrot spammed in my chat, so would the extra vram help out? forgot to mention might upgrade to 1440p in the next 6 months.

I already answered that question with regards to games

For video editing, most editing software prefer Nvidia hardware and having 100000GB of VRAM on the 7600XT is probably not going to make it better

I don't know which rock you've been under, but the high GPU prices started LONG before January.

oh, i know far too well about those, but they started getting even worse faster after January.

I honestly can't tell if you guys are simply trolling the poor dude or for real thinking that an entry level scrap GPU like the 3060 can do ray tracing, especially in games like Cyberpunk.

Upscalling to 1080p ?!?!? Guys... it's 2025, not 2005. You shouldn't UPSCALE to 1080p.

In all seriousness, for $400 max budget for a new GPU, you better drop that RT dreams entirely. Nothing new in that price range can achieve anything even close to be called acceptable. Your best shot at RT for that money (especially in Cyberpunk) is a used RTX 3080. The 10GB should be able to hold 1080p for another year or two before games start demanding more VRAM.

I know its stupid but if he is going to resort to upscaling to squeeze out every last frame, DLSS4 is the only thing close to acceptable.

He wants everything despite not able to afford anything better. Used is not an option as he explained in another thread

I'm done with him. You take over

Well we can't always jump through all the threads posted for the same question by the same person. Also if he is going for max FPS at 1080p, he should be more concerned with the CPU as well. X3D CPU is basically a must.

So @nitrosheep, my guy, if you want the best bang for 1080p and actually playable RT games, get a 5700X3D, 2x16GB of DDR4 3200 and a 2nd hand RTX 3080. Yes, it sounds like an overkill for 1080p, but that's the state of modern gaming, especially if you want to get close to 200FPS.

Guess that's what im gonna have to do... back in june of last year a 3080 used to cost about 400 used. thanks for the advice everyone. I'll post the final product soon. btw what cooler would I need for the x3d, prob sub 50 dollars? plus would a 6700 xt be on par w/ the 3080?

even a used 3080 is a lot of money for 10GB of VRAM.

Industry really is in a feels bad moment.

for real... atp even my dad is like okay used is the only option and even that's overpriced. Might as well just give up on PC building n start fixing cars

That's not cheaper either. The cars that could easily be fixed with spit, ductape and some wire are all in the past. Modern cars (last 15 years) all have sensors, modules and computers that even used are still expensive AF.

As for the cooler for 5700X3D or even 5800X3D if you can find one at a good price, the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120SE is basically a no-brainer at $35

And as for the 6700XT, it's more a competition for the 3070. The 3080 is in the class of the 6800XT. But if you are really gonna use RT, the 3080 is the way to go.
