3070 not working on GF's pc

I put together a pretty cheap pc for the girlfriend to play sims and fortnight on and went to put in my old 3070 and it just doesn't work. It works fine with my 4070 ti super. It's got a ryzen 7 5700x on a Gigabyte A520M K V2 Micro ATX with Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB .

does the 3070 still work? are all the power cables plugged in?

Yes I'm using it in my PC rn while I figure out what to do. And yes all cables are in and working.

Try resetting CMOS. 
Does it POST or not?

I tried that. It doesn't show anything on the screen and doesn't set off diagnostic light or beeps.

I was just writing that in a reply but you beat me to it!

 

30 series can have bigger power spikes that some PSUs don't like. So even if a 3070 is nominally lower power than 4070TiS, maybe that could be a factor.

So it *does* POST? Just doesn't display? That sounds like it could be a driver issue....

It's a 750W Corsair if I remember right
