Short answer: no. Linus has stated several times now that LTX is too big of an event for a (relatively) small company like LMG to pull off as the financial risks (and burdens!) are huge.

Pretty sure that they may do some events at Linus's badminton center at some point, but likely not at the scale of LTX.

I was wondering if they could open up the badminton side. I'm sure the nets could be easily removed for a weekend event, but not sure what all would need to be done to protect the floors and even the walls.

Well, Floatplane members would know, as there's been an exclusive recently addressing just that:

https://www.floatplane.com/post/K06WZwvIkC

So if you aren't a member already, 5 bucks gets you in for a whole month so you can watch and even download the exclusives if you want to enjoy these for a longer period. That's not my idea, Linus himself launched that solution in another thread 😛

Oh, and a FP sub also gets you exclusive access to merch on LTTstoredotcom 🍁 😉

part of the goal of the badminton center is that it can also serve to do lan parties.

it's not LTX, but whale lan has *a* future. the details of that future are still depending on regulatory requirements.

I am turning 16 soon and that means I can fly to LTX without a parent. Any chance LTX 2026 ever happens?

I've only been watching WAN for a few months now so if this was discussed previously I'm sorry.

Linus has stated that he wants more Whale LAN events instead of expos style events like LTX.

It just makes more sense to have a place to let gamers play games and play with tech toys. it's more in brand with "Linus Tech Tips".

Personally I would never consider taking part to an LTX, but taking a vacation to Canada and have a Whale LAN day as part of that vacation sounds cool enough that I might do it sooner or later.
