Hey guys I recently got my hands on a white 5070 Gigabyte AERO got it straight from Best Buy. But I have seen many people talking negatively about the whole 50 series and I haven’t had the time to keep up with everything. Was wondering if this is even worth keeping or if I should just sell/return it. I have my EVGA 3070TI but my wife wants her own PC now so was planning on building from the beginning let me know your guys opinion! Thank you!

People talk negatively about the 5000 series because its not really a massive upgrade over the 4000 series.

Prices are a bit high and stock is limited.

That being said, a RTX 5070 will still perform really well... Its still a fast GPU.

if this is what you can afford and find available then go for it.  Either that or the AMD equivalent.

People talked so much shit about the RTX 4080 and I bought it on launch, I dont regret it for one second.

Damn fast card and I have had thousands of hours of fun.  I got my moneys worth.

For you its about prime time. People complained because they thought itll be a worthwhile upgrade compared to previous generation, but nope, near equal in performance due to the die cutbacks that the whole GeForce line got once again.

The only reason id even consider taking it out is not to return it, but to join the reseller and sell it far above market price.

Thank you for the response!
I believe they raised the prices on all 5070 that dropped yesterday. So I’ll hold onto mine until I see what’s gonna happen hopefully they go back down and I get a price adjustment! Other than that thank you for actuallly telling me your honest opinion. It’s a nice GPU and I plan to build around it

Yeah I’m going to see what the market looks like and hopefully prices even go down so I can price match. From what people have told me it’s an upgrade to my 3070 TI and that’s really what I’m looking for!

The RTX 5070 is nothing more than a renamed and overpriced 5060. Just like the upcoming 5060 will be just a renamed and overpriced 5050. Return it and wait for the market to settle.
