Can someone list all the processes and services that run by default on fresh install of windows 10?

Here's how you get that list: Create a virtual machine, do a fresh install of Windows on it, then open task manager.

"fresh install"... The problem is that mostly depends on your hardware and what version of windows... But it should be around 150-200 processes (that you can see) by "default" on most systems...

I have to ask why tho...?

Another problem is that (afaik) windows started to obscure some processes so they'll be named differently, each boot... (not sure what purpose that serves)

There are around 200 before drivers. With LTSC IOT versions, you can get it down to around 150ish after drivers.

I have regular win 10 pro and win 11 home, both systems don't have more than like 140-170 processes running on average... Very rarely I see 200 (but that obviously depends on how many programs are running, which should be like almost 0 on a fresh install?)

PS: as soon I uninstall "icue" this should go down to like 25 "processes"? 😅
