Wanting to upgrade from 2080TI (full specs below) and just looking for some advice.

This is my current PC, had the 2080TI since 2019 and just looking to upgrade:

i7 8700k
ASUS ROG Strix RTX 2080Ti OC Edition 11gb
Cooler Master Hyper 212X
Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8gb 3000MHz
MSI z370-A PRO
Corsair TX650M

Samsung 970 EVO SSD 500gb

I could probably build the PC myself, but given the cost of the components, I'd rather just buy a prebuilt (from PCSPECIALIST, UK) Considering the following. Any advice etc is much appreciated.

Ryzen 7 9800X3D

ASUS Prime B650-PLUS

Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5200MHz CL40 (2x 32GB)

ASUS TUF RTX 5090

CORSAIR 1000W RMx Series ATX 3.1 Cybernetics Gold

PCS FrostFlow 100 V3

Fractal North TG

weak, need something stronger, at least would prefer, especially RAM very slow

The RAM is an obvious bottleneck. You want DDR5-6000 CL30 and I would look at a 1200W psu for that system just as a precaution to any gpu power spikes.

Thank you, appreciate it. Will change the 6000 CL30.

that 650 Plus is decent but youre basically paying Asus tax on what is internally similar to something like B650-S Pro by MSI. Just always cross shop motherboards, theyre the one where the offering differentiate a lot in one price bracket.

What is use case? Just gaming or general things?

If you want the platform to last longer I'd suggest better motherboard, at least VRM wise.

In US pcpartpicker, here are current (as in according to the prices based on time this comment was posted) good long-term motherboard choices: [12 phases are plenty for 7950x/9950x for example, which are 16 core CPUs]

MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI (12 phase VRM, 2 M.2 ports)

ASRock B650 PRO RS (14phase VRM, 3 M.2 ports)

Gigabyte B650 EAGLE AX (12 phase, 3 ports)

MSI PRO B850-P WIFI (12 phase, 3 ports, B850 chipset)
