Got some stuttering and frame drops in games. Took a look at frame times.

A couple of screenshots of my MSI Afterburner when I was playing some Starcom Nexus earlier this evening. Does this look right for frame times? I'd have thought it should be way more constant and not jumping up and down like this.

The lows are between 5 and 8ms whilst the peaks are up at 40+ms.

Running a 7800X3D, 4090, 32Gb RAM with XMP (6000MT/s).

Everything is latest versions except BIOS, which is less than a year old (I updated when I first built last June) and Windows, which I've had on pause for a couple weeks cause I heard that some newer updates were screwy. It is currently 24H2.

Wondering if anyone had any thought's on this graph? Is it normal? Is there anything I can change to fix it? I get occasional stutters in games that just shouldn't have any issues at all on this calibre of hardware, Starcom Nexus being one of them (my previous game was Lego Harry Potter Collection which also had problems). Had the stutters on newer games as well, so not just limited to lower class games.

Thanks in advance.
