Hi

I've bought a new case for my pc , a CX800 from Antec and I'm trying to include some old fans from a old Lian li case but when I power it on the ARGB is not working correctly. Any ideas on why this is happening?

1. Included fans from the Antec case are working fine

2. CPU cooler fans are also working fine

3. The old lian li fans are directly connected to the motherboard.

Well, this is a pretty light show at least 😛

I suppose you already checked if the fans are 5V ARGB and plugged the right way ?

It may be possible that the signal protocol for both fans is not the same. And the manufacturer may be expecting that you are using their software to control the lights.

Hope that helps.

You can try to install RGB lighting software, because since those are old fans, they may not work out of the box with a new motherboard (with proprietary software, possibly).

The antec fans have the same connector to these ones , I'm guessing it you might be right and its the signal difference that's causing it. I'm guessing that these LIAN li fans are only compatible to the controller thats connected thru a button on the original lian li case.

Thanks for the help

Hi

These fans are connected thru the antec fans which are connected thru the board. The antec fans RGB is working correctly so its not software for sure.
