5070 back screen on cold boot. monitor doesnt go on.

I just got a MSI 5070 SHADOW 2X OC and I have similar issue.. but my screen turns on when window shows welcome screen. I am not able to see post screen or windows loading screen on cold boot.

 

After I reboot I can see my post screen and I am able to access bios if I want to, something that I am not able to do on cold boot.

 

I figured that the issue is related to display port.

 

I've tried doing cold boot with only one HDMI cable connected to my 5070 and I can see post screen.

If I use HDMI and Displayport at the same time (one to my tv and the other to my pc) I wont be seeing anything till windows welcome screen.

 

I have new PC and this are my specs

 

Main Board: MSI x670e Gaming Plus WIFI

Bios Version: 7E16v1A4(Beta version)

GPU: MSI RTX 5070 Shadow 2X OC

PSU: ASRock Steel Legend SL-850G (12v rail 70.9A)(850W)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9800x3D

Memory: G.Skill Flare X5 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 6000

Operating System: Windows 11 (24H2)

Display: Acer Nitro 23.8 IPS (XF243Y) (DisplayPort Connected)

 

by the way monitor is the same monitor I used with my previous pc, same display port cable. it works just fine with my 3070

use a blowdryer and lightly heat up the gpu before turning on, there may be a bad solder joint.
