Hello all,

I am getting constant visual artifacts while using a ASUS TUF 9070 XT OC in a brand new build. Additionally, when attempting to launch a game or use the Adrenalin "Stress Test" feature I am getting a quick driver timeout error. The artifacts start on lock screen, no issues in boot/BIOS.

Build:

R7 9800X3D

ASUS TUF 9070 XT OC

Aorus B850 Elite Wifi7

32gb Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 2x16gb 6000mhz

Samsung 980 Evo Pro 2TB

Corsair RM850x

Troubleshooting:

-Reseat card, RAM, redo power connections, swapped power cables

-Updated BIOS from F1 to F2, issue persists, again from F2 to F3b

-Ran DDU, tested my 3070, no artifacts. Ran DDU again + clean install of Win11 with the 9070 XT plugged in, issue returns

-Tried rolling back Radeon driver from 25.3.1  to 24.12.1

-Tested using Int Graphics from my CPU, no artifacts

-Tried underclocking card to manufacturer max clock speeds (Adrenalin tries to push it way higher for whatever reason)

-Tried changing PCIE speed from Auto to Gen4 (suggested by AMD tech on a random reddit post)

-Tested with XMP enabled & disbaled

-Tried disabling SAM (disable "Resizable BAR Support" + "Above 4G Decoding")

At this point I'm looking at submitting an RMA...any ideas are much appreciated.

I have a PowerColor 9070 XT and I'm experiencing the exact same issue. I've tried everything you've tried, but nothing has changed. My build is very similar to yours, and I also tested the card in my old system with the same results.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have the same GPU and motherboard. My games were crashing after 15–30 minutes of playing. Yesterday, I made two changes in the BIOS: I set the PCIEX16 Slot Link Speed from “Auto” to “Gen4” and disabled the integrated graphics. I haven’t tested it thoroughly yet, but after that, I had a long gaming session in Cyberpunk with no issues.
