The bluestacks Android emulator that has been available on Windows for many years is now in BETA on Mac, shere it’s called Bluestacks Air.

Performance is really good due to the high single core CPU speed of the Apple Silicon chips, and it’s the best and easiest way to play games like Genshin Impact, with a pretty good 60 fps experience at the highest settings on a base M4 Mac Mini, only small dips and lag sometimes, otherwise no issues, with mouse and keyboard support working too, except you have to move and hold the cursor over the attack button, for the left click basic attack to work.

Highly recommended for playing any Android game on Mac, since the Mac app store doesn’t contain all iOS mobile games, sadly, and weirdly enough.

The Windows also has a high frame rate option, where you can play many games at very high framerates, I think up to your monitor’s refresh rate, if the hardware can handle it, but this feature isn’t available in the Mac BETA yet. But testing it on Windows, is such a superior experience, not being locked to 60fps or even 30fps in many games.

has anyone tried this BETA on their Apple Silicon Mac, and what so you think of the software running on Mac so far? 🙂

P.s. Here’s a video showing how to install the emulator on Mac, and getting Genshin up and running:
